The Club at Sheraton Buganvilias

Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful resort city in Central mexico. For my first stay in Mexico, I chose an RCI exchange with what was called the Buganvilias Vacation Resort. This is a little tricky because it’s not entirely the same as the Sheraton Buganvilias Resort and Convention Center. So when booking or arriving, make sure you have the correct location. However, both share the same common areas and guest experiences. The Sheraton Buganvilias more suited to hotel reservations while the Buganvilias Vacation Resort is more of the timeshare property. Both have amazing views of Bandares Bay.

Buganvilias Resort Checkin

After arriving at the airport, I used Uber to take me to my resort. I was able to find a listing for The Club at Sheraton Buganvilias. The cost was approximately $10. The app had the option to tip in pesos for 10, 15, or 20. I chose 20 because I appreciated the driver picking up and unloading my bag. There are porters available to help you take your bags or check them for retrieval later. I kept mine with me and was able to check in immediately and my room was ready for me. I presented my ID and credit card. A $250 USD is quires for incidentals. They offered the all inclusive price of $110 per guest per day, but I declined. It was also nice to find out they do currency exchanges at a reasonable rate with no hidden fees.

After check in, I met a resort representative who asked if I would like to attend their sales presentation. In exchange, they would offer me 50% off the all inclusive price, provide a free massage, a discount on spa treatments, and 20% of other food and drink. They also gave 2 free drink coupons for their sports bar, 999. Also, most important part, breakfast comes with the sales presentation

1 Bedroom Suite

The room structure was unique. Tower A at the Buganvilias Resort Club features 1 and 2 bedroom units. The 1 bedroom units include a door from the hallway to a kitchen and living area. This includes a full bath and access to an amazing balcony. There is a separate access from the hallway and living room to the “bedroom.” This room has another full bath, large bed, jacuzzi next to the window, and access to the balcony. From there, you can take in amazing views and catch all the action at the pool.
